Plot Summary: Love gets a second chance in this engaging, humorous story of two stubborn people who come to realize that some feelings never completely die out. Thirty-something Andromeda (Andie) Miller wants nothing more than to cut ties with her handsome ex-hubby North and move on with her life. Fate has other things in store for her though, and she is roped into traveling to a creepy old house in the middle of nowhere to look after a troubled brother and sister that North has been made guardian of. What she doesn’t know is that she is about to be dropped right into the middle of a television news crew, a cranky housekeeper, spirited children behaving badly, malevolent ghosts, an exasperated medium, a jealous fiancé, and more trouble than she can shake a stick at. Maybe This Time is a spirited romp filled with equal parts eerie and romantic. Cruise’s characters are quirky and likeable, and her heroine is easy to root for.
